THE AGE OF PLASTIC site specifics

September 25th 2016 - January 8th 2017

Maria Cristina Finucci imagines that an archeologist of the future discovers an important archeological site of the plastic age, our current era. The recently discovered ruins have the same structure as the Phoenician ruins also present on the island, but they are completely made out of plastic cups contained in metallic cages. Flying over the mysterious discovery, the archeologist will notice that the ruins he has found form the word HELP.

This installation was promoted and constructed thanks to the Foundation “Terzo Pilastro - Italia e Mediterraneo” with the cooperation of the Whitaker Foundation.
