The Embassy at MAXXI

April, 11 2015 - May, 2 - 2015 - On the occasion of the first National Holyday of the Garbage Patch State, the Museum of 21st-Century Arts MAXXI hosted in the pavilion “MAXXI Educazione” the first embassy of the new State, where applicants could take up the citizenship and retrieve their ID. On the Museum square, Maria Cristina Finucci created a 30-m long installation – a “wave” composed of millions of PET chips from recycled bottles, in which viewers could “dive” or enter to discover a brightly coloured and ironic world of plastic. An occasion to introduce the State to the city of Rome.
